Johnny47 embassies are getting more strict. I've seen some people get denied a dtv and given a 6 month multiple entry tourist visa instead if their course is short. Hence if you can afford it, I would sign up for 12 months. Maybe search the group for which embassy you're applying at and read their success story for mt
