just share from my personal experience that I couldn’t cancel my WP myself as I asked the employment office in Phuket, I need my employers help.

I had similar situation, you need accountant or whoever is responsible for WP from your employment to cancel your work permit at employment office then go to immigration by yourself to cancel non b extension then apply COVID extension

Update: Cancelled work permit with my employer's help, applied amnesty extension, got an under consideration stamp that have to go back on 9 Nov, would they issue 30 or 60 days extension?
