We flew 4 different flights around Thailand in December and January on Bangkok Air and were never asked about our carry-on bags. I had a large backpack with laptop and camera gear and they never asked to weigh it. Anecdotal at best, but that was our experience. Also, we did pre pay for extra weight on our checked luggage as it was over 20kg. Just be sure to do that if your bags are overweight to save money and hassle when checking in.
Check to see if you have a space after your reference number when checking status. I had this happen a couple times. That extra space at the end will cause a problem.
No. We landed yesterday and at the airport they checked the Thaipass, your PCR results, your airline ticket stub (for where you sat), and the insurance certificate. The hotel checked none of those things, but had asked for information before arriving. Nobody has mentioned the app.
A few items we experienced. 1. Make sure there aren't spaces after any of the entries when checking your status. For example, if you copy and paste your registration number, sometimes it has an extra space at the end. If it does, it will say the info is unregistered. Happened to me several times and I was surprised that something so simple would result in an error. Deleted the space and it worked. 2. It took a week for us to get our approval. I emailed the support team email when we hit 7 days and immediately received the pass (whether that was coincidence or not, I'm not sure. Be sure to include your full name, passport number, and date of arrival in your email to

(this is the address they recommend connecting with). 3. I suspect it took longer for us since we live in the US and don't have a QR code for our vaccination card. I think that slows the process. I see a lot of quick approvals, but those are from places that have QR vax codes. I hope this helps.
Check to see that there isn't a space behind your confirmation code when trying to log in. I've experienced this after copying and pasting the code and it said not registered. Sounds goofy, but I deleted the space and it worked fine.
