I think you missed the point. The 12k was my budget for an apartment as I don't need much anymore. Of course my expenses are higher but thanks for the comment.

been there done that years back. The wife like Jomtien and has friends in Pattaya. The city actually is of no interest anymore but I figure this is a good compromise. Otherwise I'd be back in Hua Hin or the islands south.

we actually left and are in Da Nang. Can I do this in Penang? I could make a trip there easy enough
