I don’t work there. Don’t take wrong conclusions. I have no ties to Thailand; I run an online business and all of my projects take place around the world, and outside of Asia.

Next week is my birthday, and I found out through my sister that my parents bought a surprise trip to see me in Thailand, they thought I would be there and didn’t know what to do because I am currently in London applying for a visa.

As this will be my parents’ first time in Thailand and they will only be there for eight days, I would really love to be able to spend time with them.

I have already called and explained that it may not be possible for me to be there during the first few days, but I am waiting to see if the approval comes through before then.

I will need to be in Thailand for
****
days and then leave for 20 days.

After that, I would return and stay another 10 days, and then I would be out of the country for three months.

In principle, a tourist visa would be sufficient, but since I have already rented an apartment and want to leave my belongings there, I would like to be able to return those two times.

I haven’t entered Thailand at all this year yet, so I assume there should be no issue entering as a tourist.

However, the best-case scenario would definitely be to already have the DTV approved.

I will only actually start using the DTV and staying more than 180 days from August onwards.
