we don’t have that problem in Phuket. Sorry you have that issue. There should be more uniformity in immigration offices.

it gets even better because the LTR wealthy pensioner or wealthy global citizen can then form a Thai limited company and hire foreigners because of the 4:1 exemption.

yes you’ve confirmed what I have said. BOI confirmed this over a year ago.

there are multiple people who have done it already and used it to do business locally without a Thai limited company. A foreign company does not need to establish a Thai company subsidiary to contract with Thai companies.

it absolutely does qualify for work permission. BOI has confirmed this on multiple occasions. Every category qualifies for work permission, but Work from Thailand Professional does not get a digital work permit. You can 100% get a work permit as the owner of a foreign business under Wealthy Global Citizen or Wealthy Pensioner.

he wouldn’t be qualified under that category as it seems he’s an owner of a smaller business. It would be the retired pensioners or wealthy global citizens category.

You would technically be working without a work permit even though it’s foreign work on a laptop. If you qualify for LTR visa you get a digital work permit where you wouldn’t be breaking any laws.

The only visas you will be able to work on are B and LTR. If you don’t have 80k income per year or 40k and buying property, forget LTR. B will cost you roughly $6k per year for all costs associated with the visa and work permit, taxes, accounting, Etc.
