Is this the embassy of your country of origin? So for me the US Embassy? I could try to get the affadavit and really hope it works.

And yes the school is sponsoring the visa, but they all had to go through the visa thing themselves as they are mostly from other Asian countries. However, I got this job through an agency, and the agency did not prepare me for anything, otherwise I could have had my docs in order before I got here. The school told me I'd have to mail my docs back to the US, but I'm really hoping for a quick solution here.

Im in this same boat and headed to Thailand on Tuesday. I booked a cheap ticket out of Thailand to Cambodia on May 22nd to show immigration so it looks like I'm moving on. I am hoping that will be good as it is an air ticket out. There are really cheap tickets to Cambodia.
