I'm the future please understand the right and legite way is the way that you don't get into trouble. I see thais trying to help foreigners all the time and they refuse their help because in their mind it's not correct....but it often is. Anyways, I'm glad you solved your problem.

I'm not sure if this is how it works, but my friend owns a medical tourist visa company and he said he could invite people now and set up visas. I didn't understand what he meant until I read Michaels post....so that's one way back.
