If not you can take them to the bank, get one of those coin deposit plastic bags but you must count them all yourself and add them.

You can use them in the supermarket self checkouts. Just pour in the coins and it counts and deducts them from the bill.

Is the ThaiPass no longer required for foreigners starting 1 July?

It won't take affect until 01july. So the airline will still require you to have a thai pass and insurance coverages as per the current rule.
