I am arriving 1 July. I just saw an article on the coconuts site saying that starting 1 July the ThaiPass is no longer required for foreigners. Can anyone confirm this? I haven't seen or heard it any where else yet. Tks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the status of the ThaiPass requirement for foreigners arriving in Thailand on 1 July, referencing an article that claimed it would no longer be necessary. Multiple responses indicated that while there is a proposal to remove the ThaiPass requirement, it is not officially confirmed until posted in the Royal Gazette. Some advised to still obtain the pass to avoid any issues with airlines or immigration, and suggested having travel insurance that covers COVID-19-related medical expenses.

It won't take affect until 01july. So the airline will still require you to have a thai pass and insurance coverages as per the current rule.
good advice mate, had forgot about that tks. Took me 5 mins to register, my insurance covers so no cost, had the pass in 2 hours. If i need it to board i'm good.
interested to see what issues there will be for visa extensions now they’re temporarily scrapping TM6 👀
I really hope that’s been considered this end 🤣

Get the pass to be safe. Even if Thailand pass is not required anymore, do get insurance that covers covid treatment overseas if you can because medical fee for foreigner admitted to hospitals in Bangkok due to covid could be in the region of 500k baht or more, depends on how serious the case is.

Yea but if you caught the covid bug and becomes quite ill, you will be admitted to hospital and in Thailand, everything is double pricing. One for local and another for foreigner. I can't imagine insurance would be very costly, no? I just bought my travel insurance which has covid coverage for 30 days in Thailand for MYR85 (USD19).

Lye Kit Ooi One would think if Thai pass is not required it will not be issued.
