what’s important to note here is that if you live in Thailand, and go away and stay in a hotel, that hotel should file a TM30. when you return to your place of residence you then need to have another TM30 filed as your address is no longer the hotel.

not necessarily so. Me and my wife applied for dependant DTV in HK and they didn’t request the bank statements of the other person, just the statements of the person applying for the dependant DTV. Seems random based on who is processing the application.

I don't see any reason why you cannot successfully apply. You have proof of remote work in your contract, and how would they know your employer would alternatively relocate you?
