Kate Webber The conversion rate used to be 1 to 1 always but currently it's down to 1 to 0.89 so the Visa will cost you around 5.900THB instead of 7.500 these days.
Same here. My experience is from a few years ago already. Applied in KL paid and was refused 2 days later. But they still kept the money (700 ringgit at the time) Took the bus to Penang the very same day and applied there with exact the same paperwork the day after and got the 1 year. Mind boggling.
They do issue non-B (sometimes) but mostly just a 3 month.... they're allergic on granting 1 year ones. Still happy to take your money though. Penang's much better.
