we decided to do the SETV For 60 days and extend for 30 to give us 90 days. We will go to Cambodia and Vietnam for the remainder of our time before we head home.

Hi there. Just wanted to update.

Went to Auckland embassy and it was such an easy process. They emailed us the form to fill out before your visit.

We brought cash of $50 NZD per application. We we're a little stressed as we only had 4 business days to get it all done. They say it takes 3-5 days. We turned the application in last Friday, they approved us on this Thursday.

We did provide a bank statement (not certified) and they asked us about onward travel. Since we didn't know exactly when we were leaving Thailand, they accepted an email saying we haven't decided yet when we are leaving, but it will be before our Visa ends. That was acceptable to them.

We just got here early this morning into BKK. All was good!

Also since we verified assets with the visa they said we didn't need to bring physical cash with us. That worked.

Going through immigration was easy this morning.

Thanks again for your guidance!

ok. How do I know if the hotel or guesthouse does it online? That's my main concern. Going to get renewal, then they actually check and find out it wasn't performed on their end.

Hi all. Good information. I am a bit still confused and hoping you can provide some clarification.

I am on USA passport and came in on exemption. First stay was hotel, then Airbnbs.

Plan on going to get 30 day extension. I am in Buriram now and will be in Chiang Mai as well, both before our original 30 days is up. I haven't been given any paper documents (TM30) for any of them. Do I need to get them?

Anyone know if Buriram will be easier than Chiang Mai?

Or do I not need the physical TM30 at all at either location.

Thanks again for your help.

would this be the same for extending 30 days for a exempt entry? I am looking at staying for about 38 days all together and will be extending in Chiang Mai before my 30 days is up. I have stayed at hotel and airbnb but don’t want issues for extension. Thank you.
