. I am in the process of doing exactly that. But I was told at the Korat immigration office that I can go back and get my one year stamp after 2 months have passed on my 90 day stamp. Not two months left. I made doubly sure about it because I plan to leave as soon as I get it
there is a young guy at the initial counter where they check your documents. He speaks excellent English and is exceptionally helpful. They also have some other young staff (students? Interns?) walking around helping you decipher and fill out those ridiculously incomprehensible forms.
Thanks. I was wondering about the rationale behind the November 11 date. They did not mention “14 days” and there was some confusion when the staff at the window where documents are initially checked said “30 days”
Good to know I have a 30 day window at the end as I plan to leave Thailand (with a reentry visa) during those 90 days
Would this be through the AirAsia app? I checked and it “seems” to indicate that I can get a full refund if I cancel within 24 hours. For example if I buy say just before my flight and cancel after boarding. If so sounds like a good way around it
ask. A few months ago they wouldn’t let me on the flight to Bangkok (from Manado) without an out ticket and I had to buy one on the spot for within 30 days. At Bangkok I was not asked and entered on 30 day exemption and renewed for another 30 days.
