Malaysia is the most difficult embassy to get approved. Vietnam much easier. Are you in Pakistan now? quicker, cheaper to do there if you are.

Laos average approval is 3-4 weeks. Vietnam often within 10 business days. Fastest processing in Asia is still Taipei but you need to be on point with the paperwork. Can be still approved same day or next day.

Thats why I said possible updates. It is more likely they got it from feedback. Japan and Taipei do not list their actual approval criteria but from feedback from others we know what's needed.

I do not think a blanket new requirement update has been made available. They are going by feedback from applicants, possible embassy website updates etc. Not sure it is many though.

Anonymous participantThey are not as strict as others but stricter than last year. you will need a long term course at least 7mths some say a minimum of 9mths is better.
