It is ok to say that you are staying 180 days as a digi nomad. Good chance you won't be asked anything but if you are just give them the truth in a simple, direct answer.

When I first started to look into the DTV, I had similar concern to you. It was the London embassy who encouraged me to apply, telling me the limited hours I had and income were not important. I ended up getting my DTV elsewhere but London gave me the push to go for it.

Yes, several posts from online teachers successfully becoming DTVers. You should be able to find their posts via a search. You can inc student reviews as part of your portfolio, You should supply a contract if you have one along with the platform details/screenshot of your profile. Make sure you inc a note of teaching non Thai students only.

Where are you applying? Answers are embassy specific. There are DTVers with 1-3 months as freelancers. Tailor your application to the specific embassy you will apply from.

The airline may have an issue if they do not understand the DTV. Show your DTV at check in and you should be fine when they realize it is a long-term visa. I have always entered on one-way tickets with the DTV with no probs and many others the same.

There have been a couple of posts detailing approval via a language course but the majority of embassies do not approve language courses for DTV. Ask, Do they give a full refund if rejected for the DTV? How many approvals have they helped?
