That is still a scam. What your really doing is selling the VISA and using "study" as a front.

Many real schools will help with the Visa. Or she could get the letter of admission and do it herself or have an agent follow up with the -real- school.

If I were immigration, I would look at your "business" and take appropriate action.

I am pretty sure they monitor the Thai forums. If not actually host them.

Then you must work at an upscale school. Jeeeez!

She can get a real education in Thai for a lot less than that. Learning English as a Second Language in the USA is a couple hundred Dollars a semester, max! And Education prices there are crazy in the USA.

One subject! My AA, BA, & MS (plus a certification in Electronics) only cost me a 130k USD over 7 years!

If your institution, in Thailand, is changing 50k for a single one-year program, your work is a scam!

1 Year at Harvard University will cost about 50k USD for 1 year tuition.

Unless you are talking about 50k Baht.

I was really writing to her through you using your post as a reference. Just adding context and more information to your comments.

Learning the Thai language will take -at least - one year. Yeah, coming here with the Son complicates things. But if she is here for education, they cannot just separate the Mother and Child, can they? Nevermind, I know Thai Immigration and they will if they don't have any policies to stop them. But it seems like they should have contingencies for that.

But I want to stress this again. It cannot be stressed enough; The words "I want to live in..." should never come out of her mouth nor anything she writes! She should not even be writing it here in this forum.

50k for a couple semesters of learning Thai? I think not!

She indicated an Education Visa. She can do that.

However, when she applies, she needs to ONLY say she is here for education. Nothing about living here with Son. If they ask about family in Thailand, ok. But remember, NOTHING about living here to be with her Son!

A Real Education Visa where she really shows up for class and really does the work. Thai language Visa is the most useful, for obvious reasons, unless she already knows Thai.

She needs to set that up with the school before applying for the Visa. A real School will probably help with that.

Depends on the airline too.

Also depends upon how many people they see with full carry-on's and where they are seated. Front, Back, right, or left.

Yes, the laptop is the heaviest thing I carry. But, because it is thin, it is the easiest thing to pack.
