Ahh... Think my math was off. Bangkok average income of $1000. 60,000 Baht is $2000 average in Bangkok. So 2 months.

Out in the Provinces about 8-months.

Last I checked, about between 300 to 400 Dollars/month out in the Provinces and $1000/month in Bangkok. Just x6 for your answer.

Farangs need $2400/month or 800,000 Baht in the bank.

It is mostly from the top elite. The Thai People don't feel that way.

That is where you should spend it!

But the truth is is is to damn hard for people without the money in the bank.

You should be spending that money elsewhere also.

Instead of the Thai Banks losing it on Chinese projects that don't pan out or keeping Thai Airways afloat.

The Deputy Thai Prime Minister's comment. You are a "Dirty Farang.". They don't want you unless you have a lot of money or are Chinese.

But I think that Government may be on the way out. Does not mean it will change though.

That has not been my experience. Not at Chaengwattana, nor, especially, at the airport.

Also, they sometimes raid these agencies to make an example. You are just a customer, you don't know, usually. But they come down harder on the Farang customer.
