 I had problems when i tried to leave on my Ed visa because the school didn't cancel it before I left.

I think Ed visas are different. As far as I know they need to be cancelled before leaving Thailand. You can't just leave as normal and come back.

I did it in Hanoi last month and I was only asked to submit 3 months of statements. It might differ depending on where you're applying. My DTV was accepted 3 days later with no problems.
