Thank you for your thoughtful comment Shin. I think the 2 day hotel stay at 90 day check-in time will probably suffice for that specific requirement, a TM-30 from my current residence is not going to be possible at all. Follow on question: Given this compliance hurdle, I'm not sure the best way to pursue getting a certificate of residence so that I can purchase a motorbike, have it registered, insured, etc Thanks in advance for respectful suggestions based on actual experience

Anonymous participant 613 - yes- thank you for reposting that.... I saw it and it's bit confusing and not focused on my specific situation, listed very clearly above.

- You are correct, a visa agent advised today that I book a two -day hotel stay to generate a TM-30. I'm going with that advice. I posted a question here in the hopes that a member of this group has done this specific thing successfully. Thank you for your non-snarky, non passive-aggressive or condescending post. It was a simple, reasonable question.

Thanks.... that's the plan. Will make sure the hotel gives me dTM-30 proof documentation to bring to check-in, just in case it's requested, and will fill out TM47 at the office. As far as I understand it, all I need to do is have my passport, a copy of my DTV, and the TM-30 proof on my person. Sound about right?

I spoke with a visa agency in Chiang Mai today who deals with this issue on a regular basis, the told me that renting a hotel room for two days, the night before-and the night of the immigration visit, is the best option to be in compliance with the existing official TM-30 & TM47 document requirement on the day of my 90 day check-in. Was curious if any in this group has dealt with this particular scenario. Won't be flying in & out until the 180 day bounce.
