DTV_Begpacker that's misleading. Taxation normally depends on where you get paid. So if I'm a digital nomad and my income gets paid into my UK account then I pay UK tax. You need to look at the tax residency rules for your country of origin on top of that. You can't just decide for yourself you have no tax responsibility
Are you applying at the same consulate? Normally you can't have 2 active visas but it sounds like in your friends case they took the view that 24 hours is ok
Anonymous participant 242 no point in asking AI, it doesn't understand the law. The Elite visa does not give anyone permission to work remotely from Thailand. Only the DTV and the LTR Remote Worker do that
Anonymous participant 242 you are not legally allowed to work on the Elite visa, either for a company inside Thailand or remotely for a company outside Thailand
Er Kan all I'm saying is that the DTV is classed as a tourist visa and you only get stamped in for 180 days at a time. The fact you can leave the country and return the same day doesn't change that
I couldn't even renew my 5 year licence despite living here 8 years on a Non-O visa. Why? I'd recently had a short trip out of the country and my entry stamp only had 9 months on it. My years Non-O extension of stay and re-entry permit were on the left page and the entry stamp on the right. But still they would only give me 2 years
Bobby Dell Haney you can try to extend each entry one time by a further 180 days but effectively its similar to applying all over again, immigration make it very difficult to get the extension. You can not stay 5 years and never leave that is totally wrong, you can only extend once per entry but see above
