My main issue is that even when they know my wife and I are married and have been extending for over a decade, they still make me take new photos 3x over with and without kids. Or I signed something wrong and my signature doesn’t match. Or my photo looks several months old. There’s a long list of these things, including home visits and interviews with the neighbors several times —and I don’t even know who my neighbors are. People who say the extension is easy are correct in that it should be easy. They just make it difficult because they seem to not like the idea of foreigners marrying their ladies — not sure, but sometimes I feel that way.

When entering Thailand, they sometimes ask you to show 20k thb to prove you can support your stay. Evidence of being able to pay for your stay is pretty normal, though it’s usually immigration and not the airline. However, airlines are held accountable so the do sometimes ask for documentation and etc.

If you’re using a browser other than Chrome, try switching. I find many Thai sites don’t work well with anything else.
