You won't have the necessary documentation to do a TM30 i.e. the deed to the property. You will need to confirm with the landlord that the TM30 was done. If it wasn't, your landlord needs to get that sorted out first.

Once they confirm you are registered, you will need to get the TM30 receipt at the immigration office before you apply for your extension.

side note...I usually hand him the passport open to the page with my re-entry stamp so that he doesn't miss it and accidentally give me a 30 day exempt stamp.
