 if not a credit card, what is it ?

Wise is for money transfer here in Thailand .

They have a paid agreement with Visa and MC for 'debit only', so I guess you're paying two fees to use your own money.

 noone accepts Wise CC, it's used to transfer funds.

Wise is like Union pay CC, noone accepts.

Alex charges higher fee than V/MC, and payment to vendor is slow.

Many places have signs, ' if using AMEX a 2% fee added '

Most retailers don't want AMEX. as they charge more. And payment is delayed.

Mastercard or Visa much better...avoid the Chinese Union card

You can do 15 days prior, or 7 days after is what IO told me many years ago.

Don't test them get in within the week prior to be safe.

You're retired, participate in the system, you can't fight it.

 quite an experience actually looking at what lack of education has done for our kids in Africa and Indonesia.

This can't be corrected now in a generation, requires wiring upgrade, 3 generations or more.
