right. I'm not one who likes to take risks generally speaking no matter how small. I may wait until I have entered Thailand next week then move the funds after just in case. Appreciate your input.

Sorry should have noted that I've already got the DTV. I don't think the Canadian consulate would help me here. Unless I'm missing something?

Anonymous participant 101 I've heard accounts where you can be asked to show proof again upon entering the country or absolutely when getting an extension. In most cases you don't but it's definitely possible.

Thank you. I should have clarified I already hold a DTV. So my concern lies in when immigration asks me for proof when entering the country or getting an extension. As a previous commenter said I would likely have to do it 3 months before entering the country again or getting an extension.

Anonymous participant 101 right ok. I already hold a DTV so I guess I would have to strategically move the funds 3 months before I need an extension or plan to leave the country and enter back in. Thank you
