it’s a bit more complicated!

So I went to immigration asking for a one year visa. But I told them that I don’t want to deposit 800.000 in a Thai bank

They told me no problem we will fix it for you. So they gave me the price and process. I was not asking questions about the validity of the process 🙈🙉🙊

Money changed hands and paperwork went smooth. Almost like a VIP service because we bypassed all queues

Once the paperwork was done at migration then told me “now you go to the bank where a man is waiting for you”. We met the guy and was guided through the bank. Paperwork done with no further questions. Hence just paying the insurance. This weren’t the time nor place to ask critical question or complain about the process…. The rest is history

But actually I went to another branch of the same bank one week earlier and they also told me about the mandatory insurance

well then you just deposit 800.000 baht 😇 but first you need a Thai bank account which will require some paperwork and some more hassle.

The process I describe will take care of everything for you’re dealing with the exact same people 🤷‍♂️

I’ve currently in the same process. Just go to immigration but the local main office. Tell them you need a one year visa

Now there are two options

1) you create a Thai bank account and deposit 800.000 baht

2) you tell them you don’t have 800.000 and do the shady stuff 😜

If you go with number two there will be some “payments”. The good thing is everything is working as a Swiss clock
