.. I think so. I would like to be proved wrong as my plan was to originally go with Kasikorn. Am with Bangkok Bank at the moment.

If you are coming for a retirement visa I don't think Kasikorn will open an account for expats until you have been here a while. The visa agent opened a Bangkok Bank Account for me

As I understand it. You can travel around Thailand without reporting your location so long as you do the 90 day report. I would double check my comment though just to be sure.

Go for a retirement visa... When it comes to reporting the marriage visa requires a lot more paperwork

Your first 90 day report is from when you arrive in the country. If retirement visa is technically 15 months. It's the 90 days plus your 12 month visa.
