Except in this case it's actually worse than reporting a false rumor. The Thaiger is referencing the Siam Rath article as saying the minister said it won't be ready by July 1, when that article said no such thing, actually even the opposite thing, that Phuket will be ready July 1. Posting false rumors is one thing, posting lies about what other media have reported is even worse in my opinion.

It may not happen, but the minister didn't say what Thaiger has reported in this case, so this erroneous article is in and of itself not a good reason to believe it won't. You can find other reasons, of course. ;-)

Wow, really not fair in this particular instance to call it a backpedal. More like journalistic malpractice. The article you posted is based solely on a Siam Rath article that basically says the opposite, that July 1st is when Phuket Sandbox will start. Complete botch job by Thaiger. The minister never said it wouldn't be ready by July 1.

If they continue to be sold when you need one you might qualify for a 60-day covid extension for 1,900 baht. Generally, they want you to use your regular 30-day extension first before applying for the covid one, but you could ask your immigration office.

On what sort of visa do you hope to end up? It is possible to change the reason for your non-immigrant visa at the immigration office without leaving the country. For instance, I went from a Non-ED to a Non-O (retirement). Where do you hope to end up?

I'm sorry, I don't. I have no experience with agents. I generally don't like that path, but every tool has its use given the right circumstance. I do my own retirement extensions which I understand and I did go from a Non-ED visa to a Non-O (retirement) all within Thailand, but I don't know the work permit/business visa areas at all.

You're asking a very complicated question with your husband dependent on you for his permission to stay so there are sequence issues and dependencies. Throw in the complication that you're not actually married yet and it causes a lot of extra uncertainty. Also, not a lot of people have experience doing exactly what you're proposing to do. Therefore, I don't think it's wise to do it in pieces. Because if done that way you might find that at the end the pieces don't fit together. I'm going to recommend two things.

2) Talk to an agency. I almost never would say this but in this case it's not for convenience or bending the rules, it's simply to understand if it's possible to do something that is as complex as this is. In my opinion, you're going to need someone with a lot of experience (hence recommendation one) or someone who can have a very involved discussion with actual immigration people in Thai (hence recommendation two).
