Is it like when other countries "exchange" your home country license with the new county license or do you have to actually take written tests and road tests?
Wow, I never knew that. Thanks for the info. I used an agent to open a bank account when I was here on a tourist visa. I now have a long-term visa. This same agent offered to get me a Thai driver's license. We did not discuss the price yet. Do you think it's worth it to use an agent to avoid doing all of the leg work and running around? She said I would not have to do anything basically.
This is just out of curiosity. What is the benefit of having a Thai drivers license versus having your home license and an international driving permit?
