DTV 90 Day Reporting?

Hello there, I was wondering if 90 day reporting is required for the DTV, I saw conversations on this a few months back and the consensus was it was not required. I just watched a YouTube video where this guy was saying you need to do it so I am now confused if it is required or not. Nowhere in the application process or in the issued visa or any documentation does it say anything about a 90 day report.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question regarding whether 90-day reporting is required for the DTV visa in Thailand has been clarified through community discussion. While some users believed it was not essential, the consensus indicates that 90-day reporting is indeed required. This is a legal obligation for foreigners residing in Thailand, and the requirement stems from immigration regulations, separate from the visa application process. Users provided various confirmations about the necessity of this reporting, including insights from immigration officials and personal experiences at immigration offices.

You have to do the 90-day reporting the first time you enter and after leaving and returning to the country. After that you can do it online here:

A mod of one of these groups spoke to a high ranking immigration official in Bangkok who said that you must do 90-day reporting with a DTV. He posted about it in the group.

I guess its immigration who stamp you in so immigration rules apply, I am gonna say you must do it. You do a 90-day reports to wherever your tm30 is pointing so you will almost certainly need one of those also.

because I am special of course, but really there is no mention of this requirement anywhere so I tapped into the vast knowledge of this community for the correct answer. If you look back in time you will see several posts like this and everyone at that time was saying it was not required.

It’s a law for foreigners staying in Thailand. It’s enforced by immigration. Yes you have to do 90 day reporting. It won’t say in the application process because that’s the embassy which is a separate entity who issues the visa.
