I just did my exams for motorbike, previously i just owned my native country car licence, I didn’t had international driver permit… didn’t use any agent.. was very easy, just studied for a test couple of days and get all documents what are required an very easy to obtain…all exam questions are accessible on internet..

for DTV its just documents what you need tô preapare, before you go and admit them outside country.. all tuhose documents you can get from thailand . Just need to give passport.. from your side … thats all …

After that its 99% that you will get your visa from Vietnam embassy or Cambodian .. or others …
