Ho Chi got back to me within 20 hours of first submission to request payslips. Some get processed super fast. Others longer. I'm getting the feeling the country you're from plays some role in how fast things move.
Correct this if its wrong, a few people mentioned if you sign up for a bank acvount in another city....e.g. Chaing Mai, and get your bank card...but then proceed to make withdrawals from ATMs in Bangkok or Khon Kaen for example, you will be charged additional withdrawal fees?
It's weird, I submitted my company registration overseas...then they asked for 2 further documents. One being payslips. The other being company registration document - so I just submitted the same document again. Seems like some of the embassy staff are just requesting docs randomly without looking properly to cover themselves. Be prepared for that I suppose.
being able to open a bank acvount would be a good idea. I mean, the Thai govt is trying to encourage foreigners to come spend $$ in their country. Surely, facilitating that with local bank accounts, bank cards etc supports their cause 🤷 you'd think
