The Sukhumvit BTS line doesn’t go directly to the airport. You have to transfer to the Airport Rail Link at Phaya Thai. The cost on the Sukhumvit Line will depend on the length of your trip but will likely be in the range of 40 to 50 Baht. The cost of the full trip on the Airport Rail Link is 45 Baht from Phaya Thai to Suvarnabhumi.
I wasted two hours there this afternoon my TR 60 is up in about three weeks so I wanted to get a 30 day extension. I was aware that you have to register where you’re staying and I got a letter from the hotel which they accepted. It took a couple of hours to go through that process but then when I was done they said I should come back in a couple of weeks closer to the expiry date of my existing stamp for the extension. Last year I extended my TR 60 visa 45 days before it expired in Bangkok and there was no extra step to formally register the hotel I was staying at.
Well I can always fly home to Canada and back but that would be a bit of a pain. My guess is as long as every other country in the region is closed due to Covid Thailand will keep extending the Covid extension provision. There are very few tourists coming so I think if they have an easy way of keeping the tourists that are here a bit longer they will do it. I got a Covid extension in April and when the immigration officer asked why I just said “Covid” and that was accepted. I could’ve flown home but I was trying to avoid the compulsory three day hotel quarantine. Canada kept extending that provision too so I ended up having to do it in the end. No one seems to want to answer the question about whether or not they are giving Covid extensions to Canadian passport holders I would appreciate it if somebody could send me a PM if they know the answer but don’t want to post it here.
Sorry I didn’t intentionally delete any comments or post my questions twice. Nothing is showing in my activity log so I’m not sure what might’ve happened. I did edit my post to clarify that I was only interested in border runs by air. Fly out somewhere then fly back. In the past I used Saigon but Vietnam isn’t giving out tourist visas at this time. I am still interested in getting answers to my questions:
1) Are they giving covid extensions in Bangkok to Canadian passport holders?
2) Are there any nearby countries open to fly to for visa runs again?
I don’t want to be stuck in one location for the duration so an STV won’t work for me.
I arrived at about 9:15AM. Maybe 8 people in front of me for check in and Covid screening. On to the information desk to find out where to go next. Was directed to a booth to get a queue number got J29. Walked around to counter J they were serving J28 waited about two minutes then I was called. He asked me to wait sent my passport in the back somewhere. The whole process couldn’t have taken more than

minutes from the time the taxi dropped me at the front of the building.
I have to go tomorrow they just called me to advise of the change in location. Nice touch. They may have called once before but I may have ignored it I’ve been getting a few “Wrong Number” calls.
Thanks for posting this it applies to me I have an under consideration stamp and must return on April 8. Funny they didn’t tell us at the time. Does anyone know if you have to make an online appointment for these or do you just show up on the day?
I came in on January 15 on a TR 60 visa so I was good until March 15. I extended 30 days so now I’m good until April 15. I’ve never stayed 90 or more days in Thailand. If I do a further Covid extension can I do a 90 day report at the same time? My understanding is I have to do the covid extension on or before March 30. I have a flight booked home to Canada on April 11 but I’m worried that shit might happen. They’re making it difficult to return home as well.
