Hi Todd- i emailed the Thai embassy when I was applying for the visa and asked if the 6 month visa starts from date of approval or date or from the day we arrived in Thailand.

Their response “You must enter to Thailand before the expiry date of visa date and then period of stay will count from the first day that you enter to Thailand.”

So I’m now confused about this November 4 date- as this was the day I must start the visa not its expiry? Does that make sense

Thank you so much! And one more question- once this visa expires in November if I leave and come back I can then likely get the 60 days on arrival for Australians is that correct?

for some reason I can’t wrap my head around it haha- so I can leave in that 60 day period without it shortening my overall 6 month visa?

thank you! So if I left in the middle of a 60 days I would effectively waste my some of my 6 months because it would cancel out 30 days?
