I've got a clean record, hahaha just don't want to wait forever to receive it. I think I'm gonna just go to the Police HQ today and take that to the embassy in Phnom Phen. At worst, they'll deny me and I'll have wasted the time in a new country. I would imagine they would take the Thai one though since I've been living here the last 9 months while going to school.

I saw that, but was hoping a local one (which can be done instantly and online) would work. I might as well just go to the Police HQ here and have one done for 100 baht then.

I’m leaning towards going there since I’ve never been to Cambodia. I’m not working and legitimately here for school so 3 days isn’t too big of an issue. Biggest thing for me is that it is in the middle of my school term. Hopefully I can get the lessons from my teacher before hand though and just study while I am traveling.

Allan Flanagan I would hope so. I’m on my first ED visa for language (I had a Muay Thai visa several years ago when I came to Thailand for the first time). I feel like I’m barely scratching the surface with my language skills so hopefully they’ll give out more than one visa. I’m also curious if it matters at all if you switch schools or stay with the same one assuming it’s a reputable school.

that’s good to know. I was actually thinking about taking a break from school and doing a Muay Thai visa, maybe I’ll have to re-evaluate that plan. Good luck with everything, keep us posted.

I wonder if it’s only that consulate not issuing a second ED visa. Perhaps you could try a consulate in another country?

interesting. There is no way anyone could become fluent in Thai within a single ED visa period imo. Were you ever tested for your language ability at the consulate or at immigration?

What was the reason they denied you? Curious about this as my education visa ends soon and I would like to continue studying.
