How can we find a balance in comment moderation on Thai expat posts?

I 100% realize that comments are being closed early on posts to keep this place from turning into the complete shit stain that is nearly every other Thai expat group but.... I can't help that feel that mods are closing things a bit early. I've read several posts now that I would like to add relevant experience to, but comments are closed several hours earlier while the initial question/topic hasn't been fully discussed imo. Any suggestions for middle-ground here?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user expresses frustration over early comment closure on posts, which they feel hinders full discussion. They acknowledge the need for moderation to maintain discussion quality but seek suggestions for a middle ground that allows for more engagement while preventing discussions from deteriorating.
