I tried to transfer my visa because that my old passport was damaged. I had both passports when I went to immigration and they told me it was a requirement I had both passports and that passport number could not be changed on a digital visa. I hope you can get it resolved, but I think you should prepare yourself for the possibility of having to apply for a new visa.
