Research into what visa you are eligible for, cost, planning (lots of it) if you’ve not already done so I’d suggest visiting a few times look at where you plan to stay, heard so many stories of people who just jump in thinking it’s simple to just move and it backfires very fast. I’ve been coming over 21 years and now finally able to split year

here and working in home country and I’m still learning. It’s great life here I live away from tourist attractions in village no nightlife (not for everyone) but it’s relatively cheap, peaceful life. Point being took me years to experience and find where I wanted to be. And remember depending on how/where you want to live will dictate how much money you need to be comfortable you choose to live Phuket for example you’re going to need to have substantially more £££ than somewhere quieter. My advice take your time visit and investigate thoroughly. Good luck

I always attend wearing smart /chino style shorts and shirt for immigration drivers license etc and never had any problems with those choices. Think as long as you don’t turn up like you’re going to the beach any smart sensible clothing is fine

You’ve been told they were flagging you up and would need the appropriate visa to gain entry, so your solution is to ignore what immigration told you and think you’ll just rock up with a tourist visa and IO will let you enter the kingdom …? .. Quite honestly I don’t understand how you’ve got away with it for 4 years but if you’ve been flagged you’re wasting your time and money trying to enter without the correct visa. As for asking ‘will I have a problem’ …YES undoubtedly
