are you sure about #2, regarding the insurance thing? the Thai embassy in India has issued a notification that insurance is mandatory, for those returning to India after their trip.....

There is no transit visa system in Bkk. If you do not leave the airport to catch your connecting international flight, then you don't need a visa.

no need to go out of Thailand.... as Tod said, you can easily get a Covid extension.
