I just did this. Proof of residence from immigration.

You need to make sure your landlord has registered you.

They knew exactly what I wanted when I asked šŸ™‚

Pretty sure itā€™s this form.

disagree. I only sometimes eat Thai food now, itā€™s too sugary or way too spicy, even when asked not to be. I also used eat Indian, Italian, Chinese, Japanese etc, whether Iā€™m in the Uk or Thailand. If you cook at home šŸ  then there isnā€™t much different in the price. I make lots of western things myself pasta, bread etc, so doesnā€™t cost much, flower and eggs šŸ„š .

I beg to differ when I travelled around I was a ā€˜touristā€™ visited new places, and did tourist things, snorkel trips, island hopping, kayaking down the rivers, scuba diving, waterfalls, shopping in Bangkok, sunset nights in phucket, Etc. There wasnā€™t anything we wanted to do that we couldnā€™t. We were even the only people in Emerald cave! Iā€™ve been there lots and to be the only people was pretty awesome.

I live in Khao Lak, super quiet, many restaurants are shut but still enough open. Beaches are always quiet so not much change. There are still dive trips and trips to surin. A reduced service mainly in weekends and a reduced price.

I canā€™t wait to get up north next and see it before the crowds turn up!

Bobby Howard Iā€™ve been traveling around Thailand and itā€™s been really good, hotels have big discounts, domestic flights are super cheap. Beaches are peaceful. Yes you wonā€™t have the crazy nights, and less choice for restaurants,(obviously itā€™s an economic nightmare, and can be pretty soul destroying seeing seeing how quiet it is) we have a car and travelled to koh lipe, pattalung, Trang, khao Lak, Phang nga, phucket, Krabi, Koh tao, koh phangan and flew to Bangkok. In the last year. If you can withstand the quarantine then go for it šŸ™‚

Phil Jones If you work and do not pay taxes in Thailand, and you do not have a work permit, you are working here illegally. They might bring an option in the future with the smart visa. But not at the moment.

Normally (pre/post covid) For 4 months you can get a tourist visa for 3 months without leaving the county and then get an extension from Malaysia or anywhere else that is near (has to be made outside of Thailand)

For work, you can not work without a work permit. So either have a break or šŸ¤«

If you are wanting to travel šŸ§ during covid speak to your local Thai embassy. (Do not mention you want to work!)

for any work done in Thailand, either digital nomad you need a work permit. Thatā€™s just a fact. Whether itā€™s a 2 minute business call šŸ“ž or full time online.
