Hi Guy's, thanks for your responses. We will be moving to Kamala Beach (Phuket).

Non- immigrant O VISA Retirement first 90 day application process - as mentioned, the Thai website doesn't provide the answers we are seeking and the consulates are not responding to our questions. I am seeling clarity as to whether we can apply for the first 90 day with 65k income each in our OZ bank account for past 3 months then when we are in Thailand, can we do the extension based on 800k each rather than continue with the 65k income? The reason for this is that our flights are booked but the 800k is currently in my Superannuation account and I cannot get access to it until I turn 60 and there will not be enough time for me to transfer it from my super account into my normal OZ bank account then apply and wait for the visa, and get acceptance before our flights leave. We would prefer not to change our flight details as we also have the airbnb in Phuket booked.

2nd question - if we can use the 65k for the first 90 day process, once accepted, can we spend this? If you are able to respond to the 2 questions only that would be greatly appreciated as too much non related information just confuses the issue. Thanks again 😄

We have been looking into this too, however, on the Thai consulate website reads as though the visa date starts from date of approval and not the date of entry when entering the country. Thats why we are holding off until a month before we leave.
