I have around 170 (last I checked) stamps and stickers from around the world over the last 7 years. She thumbed through it and did not take time to see when I was or was not in Thailand, just that I had 11 SETVs.
Kuala Lumpur told me no last year after too many visas in a row from them. 😉
I’ll check a new place in Malaysia and see how it goes. Worst case scenario I’ll go to Bali for a week or the states for a couple of weeks and sort it out.
, I suspect that if I pushed and showed that I had stayed only around 6 months total this calendar year, that it may have been approved, but her level of English was not strong enough to get in to a nuanced conversation about what is and is not permissible. I already have plans to go to Malaysia later this week, so I’ll just give that a shot.
Probably not a problem, but it is good to mix it up just because there are interesting places around that are worth a visit. Try Bali or Vietnam. If you have the means, hang out and be a tourist for a little bit. I try to spend a few months out of the year outside of Thailand. Pretty easy to get a 30-360 day visa to some of these other SE Asian countries. It also demonstrates that you are more like a tourist than you are an illegal alien using the tourism system to work without the proper permissions.
Be sure to tell your taxi driver to wait for you. It's a residential area, so you have to walk out to the main street and there aren't really good sidewalks or anything... You will literally be there 3-5 minutes unless there is a line of one other person. Then 4-6 minutes.
