Whilst they have standard operating procedures, each embassy may deal with a different influx of applications (types, volume, staff, etc). Having read cases from my target embassy has been helpful for me to get an understanding of their cadence, due diligence, etc. Pop in the embassy you intend to apply from in the search bar and you'll find a treasure trove of helpful information.

Almost all embassies ask for a minimum 3 months (and rightfully so)

Hanoi - hands down the best in my experience (less than 1 week processing mid last year)

Hanoi. Don't make the mistake of applying through Indonesia, Manila or HCMC. Those are just some notorious for long waiting times.

I've included it as part of my application explaining why I don't require local employment and intend to abide by all visa rules. It's straight forward, all the best.
