I did this recently in bangkok (I’m on retirement visa). They made me go and get my bank statements from when my extension was issued before they would transfer my stamp to the new passport

I just did this in Bangkok. They made me go and print my bank statements from the month I got my renewal to show that I still met the the financial requirements. They then transferred my visa stamp for free
