I know Immigration people, have worked with them in the past to bring artists over, they weren't consulted by the MFA when it was brought it and there's rumblings they resent the abuse of border bounces - they see it as just a replacement for border runs with the benefits going to the state rather then officers who used to facilitate such things in the past.

immigration can deny you for any reason, they just likely won't for proper visa holders unless there's something seriously wrong.

Book a flight and cancel it after, or use one of those ticket websites that'll hold yr reservation for a few days for a fee?
