You can open a Thai bank account even on visa exemption

Buy a SIM card in a shop. I bought a true sim. And they also have an app. I use the app to validate my sim card when I’m not in Thailand so I keep my sim active. And you can use the app to get nice deals.

It should be mandatory for anyone who travels.

I like to be independent and have my own bank account. But good it works for you that way 👍🏻. Yes you are right about the fact it should be free, and easier to open a bank account. But since it can be tricky or take a lot of time I chose the easiest option for me.
