This is so confusing to me. On the Thai website it says it's only good for 60 days, so I assume that meant I'd have to do a border run every 2 months. Can I stay from Nov 12, 2022 until April 30, 2023 on a STV without having to reset my visa with a border run?

Thank you so much James. If I was younger and in better health, I'd be OK with having to do border runs and go with a STV. At this point in my health, I just want to take the path of least resistance.

9 months without border runs or check-ins with immigration with my whereabouts? I'm disabled. There are days where I can't get things done. I just want a hassle-free, worry-free winter, watching sunrises and sunsets on the beaches. I'd rather not let a month go by when my flight is Nov 12th. The wheels of American beurocracy turn very slow, and I want to get my visa paperwork done ASAP so I can concentrate on contacting utilities, the post office, etc... to suspend service, and set up auto-payment on electricity and home alarm monitoring. It's already September 2nd and the only thing I've got is a valid passport.

I have read it carefully. I can get everything notarized. Not an issue. My main question is that it must be recent, within 90 days. Do they mean I must do this within 90 days of arriving, or that these documents have to be within 90 days applying for the retirement visa. I'm in the USA, and I'm disabled and would rather not have to do border runs.

I think there is a train from Bangkok to Pattaya, but it runs once or twice a day and is nowhere near the airport. Best to get a taxi.
