I just got a reply back from Agoda. I did just change the setting and did give me the total price BUT after cash backs. So still initially 250 baht more with possibly getting the money back in 60 days time. But you have to request it. Good chance I will have forgotten.

I have decided it's better to just book directly with the airline and not too far in advance. It would be nice to be able to do this with hotels. I think there are clauses if they undercut online booking companies they get blacklisted.

Tiket another I have used are more honest. If have the time or inclination it pays to put the booking through a few first to compare.

Yes I could gather that. But with the final price there is no breakdown. Adding 17% tax still gives a lower number. Agoda info box says there are other fee in compensation for processing the booking. But it's not itemised.

I stayed at the ty ann hotel on chulia Street and the Swiss garden. I'd be surprised if still standing. We are staying on petaling Street at the moment. 7 days may have been too long. If we ever come again we will try a different area.

Yes it was South Africa and Israel when I was there. Now I think only Israel. Perhaps as I said in my post, its been overlooked as a place to have a good time. I know Malaysia is a strict Muslim country, but only for Malays.

we made our way to batu ferringhi Beach and pretended we were guests and used their pool. At that time I could not comprehend why a pool next to a beach. That is until I took a closer look. An oil slick.

unpopular for Thais. They typically don't like indian food. My missus is no different. Some Malay dishes I know about like roti telur is really Indian isn't it. I use to enjoy a masala dosa every morning for breakfast in Penang.
