If we wanted to spend three months a year initially and possibly longer in the future, as a UK passport holder I get 60 day visa exemption which I can extend by 30 days in Thailand. Are there immigration offices outside Bangkok? I'm 65 and my wifey is Chinese - and they get 90 days anyway. Looking at hua hin and khao lak for a month each this year.
Hi, I came to Thailand on 31st of January. My query is, I will be about 4 days short of having the 800,000 bht in the bank for a month before I have to do my first report. I will be using Hua Hin immigration, are they lenient? Thank you
Extension Retirement “visas. Pattaya-Jomtien, Pattaya, Hua Hin. Which of these immigration offices will not only accept income letter from your embassy? I mean also requires 65,000 baht monthly transfer?
In Hua Hin they say you have to keep 800 000 in the bank for 60 days after the extension it can't go below 400 000 and has to be back to 800 000 60 days before apply for renewal. The guy even had it on paper to show me. Now I read many people on this group saying the money has to be in for 90 days after and before. Is every office different or did they change the requirements. Thanks. It wouldn't be an issue if I was staying in Hua Hin
Went to the Bluport immigration office in Hua Hin to start my non O visa for retirement. 2 hours in the queue, presented all my paperwork, was told I need to have at least 15 days left on my visa to apply. They gave me a 30 day extension, 1900 baht.
They told me to go to the main immigration office here and apply the sooner the better, but at least with 15 days or more on my visa.
I had 7 days left on mmy visa and the 800000 baht had just reached the 2 month requirement. I don't recall seeing the 15 day requirement before.
In Order to apply for a dependent visa (my husband holds a valid work permit) we got the info that we need notarized /legalized Copies for the immigration office in Hua Hin
