Just wanted to share my experience at MTT today.

I had to extend the tourist visa 30 days. I booked the time online. Got to the building. Went up with the elevator to third floor. (You have to look for counter K). A long hallway ends with a desk. Since I pre-filled the TM7 from the internet, and already had all the photocopies (make sure you sign, and date each copy) and 6x4 pic, I immediately got the documents checked, got a number and went in to the big hall and sit down. The chairs closer to the entrance are for those who are waiting to submit the documents and passport. When my time came, a lady called me up, very polite and professional. She checked everything took a photo of me, and gave one of the numbers back and told me to wait on the other side of the chairs to get the stamped passport back.

After about 5 minutes another lady called my number and gave me my stamped passport back with the new visa extension together with an invoice.

All this took 10 minutes total. I strongly suggest to book online, as when I was leaving, the hallway was full of people waiting for their number to be given.

Very well organized, and efficient. Your mileage may vary 🙂

And guys, thanks for the help here!

Hi all, I am sorry if this was clarified previously, however I am confused still.

I am expecting to visit MTT on Monday to get my TR visa extended, and also I need to report TM30 also as my landlord is not aware about it. I already have the Rent agreement and other documents as advised previously in this group.

My questions are,

1. Can I do the both TM30 report and Visa extension both at MTT on Monday?

2. If yes, should I have to visit 2 different counters?

3. Do I have to make online appointment at MTT?

4. For FYI, I am expecting to get covid extension.

Thank you so much for your information.

Do I still need to go back to MTT to clear my under consideration stamp if the amnesty is extended to 31st October?

Wanted to share my experience today at MTT as I used a US Embassy letter to apply for the 30 day extension. Arrived a bit late for my 1pm appointment due to taxi driver not being able to find the facility (luckily I was able to use the pin from an earlier post to navigate, otherwise I might still be driving around). Personnel at the front check in were very helpful and directed me upstairs to the parking deck waiting area. In contrast the attendant there was flustered and would only direct me to take a seat and wait but was unable to tell me if I could check in anywhere for my online appointment.

Waited about 45 minutes until my turn came and presented;

-passport

-photo

-copy of passport info page

-copy of arrival card

-copy of arrival stamp page

-two filled out forms that I received there (gave my particulars, acknowledged the penalties for overstay, and a brief reason for my extension request)

All papers were checked, stapled together, returned to me and I was given a number to take to the office downstairs.

Waited downstairs for about 20 minutes then my papers were checked again and I paid 1900 baht. Directed to a third window where after another 10-15 minutes I received my passport back and saw the below stamp telling me I was under consideration for the extension and that I should return on the 16th of October. The last attendant was very helpful but did not speak English, though I managed to gather that I should make an online appointment and return any day around the 16th but no later than the 18th. Sounded strange but I left telling him I would be back on the 16th as stamped.

Thanks to everyone in this group, all the information here made a confusing situation easy to navigate.
